Adopt a Deployed Service Member through the Soldiers’ Angels Deployed Adoptions Virtual Team!
Send care packages, letters, cards, and more to service members deployed in support of combat or humanitarian missions. Team Angel Volunteers from around the world share their gratitude for American service members by “adopting” a service member and supporting them throughout their deployment.
Angel Volunteer Commitment
Joining a virtual volunteer team through Soldiers’ Angels is a fun and rewarding commitment! Here’s what you’ll have to do as a part of the Deployed Adoptions Team:
- Send a minimum of one care package every 30 days for the length of deployment
- Send two cards or letters every 30 days for the length of deployment
- Support a minimum of one service member every 30 days
- Report the support you provided via our database
Volunteer to Adopt a Deployed Service Member
How It Works:
Step 1: Click Join Now and complete the volunteer registration form as a ‘Team Angel.’ (Bakeries or other food businesses should also select ‘Team Angel.’) You will be required to donate a small fee of just $1 per month. Learn why here.
Step 2: After you’re approved, log into our database: Angel Base Camp. Click “Search Opportunities” and select an opportunity you would like to support. You’ll be provided with details about the service member you’re supporting, including items they may need or want in their care package.
Step 3: Create and send letters and care packages to your adopted service member!
Step 4: Report the support you provided in Angel Base Camp and find another opportunity to support!
