Acts of Love: Support Veterans and Service Members this Valentine’s Day
January 2, 2025
Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it! Do you have plans to spread love by giving back to a cause close to your heart? Soldiers’ Angels Valentines for Veterans is a great way to give back in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. This volunteer opportunity is virtual, easy, and a great activity for children or groups.
How to Volunteer with Valentines for Veterans
Volunteering for Valentines for Veterans is easy. All you have to do is make or purchase Valentine’s Day cards, write messages of support in them, and mail them to our headquarters and we’ll get them into the hands of Service Members and Veterans. Since the cost of shipping is so high, we ask that you include $1 per card to help us ship them overseas and across the country to VA Hospitals.
Mail your cards and $1 per card to:

Include the kids
This is a great activity to do with the kids; it sparks creativity and teaches the power of volunteerism and the importance of giving back to those who serve in our Armed forces. It’s also an added bonus for Service Members and Veterans, who often tell us they love receiving handwritten notes and homemade Valentine’s Day cards from kids.
Get your group together
Need a fun group activity? This is a great one for families, organizations, and businesses that really makes volunteering easy and fun. Purchase cards and sign them together, or have a DIY Valentine’s Day card-making session. Need some inspiration? Check out this blog post for ideas.
You can also host a collection drive at your workplace and ask people to bring cards (with their $1 per card) in.
We love seeing the thousands of Valentine’s Day cards that come each year and Service Members and Veterans love to receive them. Want to send some love this Valentine’s Day? Get started here.
