PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) is a mental health problem that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event. It can happen from a car accident, a natural disaster, sexual assault, or for our military heroes, it can develop after being deployed in combat situations.

PTSD can be debilitating for those who suffer with it. It can break up families, lead to substance abuse, and in some cases end in suicide. But our heroes don’t have to suffer in silence. There are effective treatments and many resources out there for those who suffer.
