Registration is Now Open: Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops

Share Halloween Magic with Deployed Service Members and Veterans with ‘Treats for Troops’ from Soldiers’ Angels. Businesses, clubs, and organizations can now register as collection sites for the annual Halloween candy collection campaign

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS —Soldiers’ Angels is excited to announce the continuation of Treats for Troops with registration now open. This heartwarming initiative aims to send 150,000 lbs. of Halloween candy to deployed Service Members, Guard Members, Reservists, and Veterans in VA medical facilities, bringing a delightful taste of home to those who serve.

“For the past 9 years, we’ve seen firsthand the smiles this program brings. It’s not just about the treats; it’s about connecting them to the warmth and festivities of home,” said Soldiers’ Angels President and CEO Amy Palmer. “Our troops, both current and former, express immense gratitude to the businesses, organizations, and generous donors who make Treats for Troops shine brighter every year.”

Since the campaign’s launch in 2016, the organization has sent 594,970 lbs. of Halloween candy around the globe. Soldiers’ Angels set its 2024 goals at 150,000 lbs.

By becoming a registered collection site, businesses and organizations can engage their communities in a fun and festive way, accepting excess Halloween candy. Treats for Troops is a fantastic opportunity for gyms, schools, churches, social groups, and more to work together in an uplifting mission. Candy collection sites can be featured on the campaign’s candy map at SoldiersAngels.org/TreatsForTroops.

Ways to support:

  1. Collection Sites: Join the joy and register as a collection site to gather excess Halloween candy. Collection can begin anytime but must end after Halloween, and you can choose specific VA facilities, Guard/Reserve Units, or deployed Service Members to support from our list of registered locations. Remember, collection hosts will cover the expenses of transporting or shipping the candy to their chosen Soldiers’ Angels recipient. Registration is now open.
  2. Make a Donation: You can also help send care packages overseas by contributing to the campaign. With each package costing around $25 to send, every donation counts and brings us closer to brightening a Service Member’s day!

Please note that Soldiers’ Angels is solely interested in excess Halloween candy, so collection periods must end after Halloween. To become an official collection site for Treats for Troops, visit SoldiersAngels.org/TreatsForTroops.
