For those who gave their lives, and for those who survived but carry the emotional scars, we are reminded of the lasting weight of their sacrifices.
Many answered the call to serve, whether in the armed forces or as first responders, forever impacted by the events of 9/11. These men and women offered a piece of themselves for the sake of our nation’s freedom, demonstrating courage that continues to inspire us.
As a nation, we will never forget the fear and loss of that day, but also the unity, compassion, and resilience that arose in the aftermath. Soldiers’ Angels was founded in the aftermath of 9/11, as our troops rapidly deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. *For birthdays, we request a minimum of 3 weeks notice so that our Angel volunteers can send cards to reach the Service Member or Veteran in time.
