Never Forget: Honor 9/11

There are few days in American history as deeply etched into our collective memory as September 11, 2001. We must never forget, on that day, our world changed forever. We lost nearly 3,000 innocent lives, but the impact stretched far beyond. It was a day that united us in grief, resilience, and an unwavering sense of duty.

As we reflect, we honor the bravery of those who ran toward danger—firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and civilians alike. Their selflessness stands as a testament to the strength of the American spirit. For those who gave their lives, and for those who survived but carry the emotional scars, we are reminded of the lasting weight of their sacrifices.

Many answered the call to serve, whether in the armed forces or as first responders, forever impacted by the events of 9/11. These men and women offered a piece of themselves for the sake of our nation’s freedom, demonstrating courage that continues to inspire us.

As a nation, we will never forget the fear and loss of that day, but also the unity, compassion, and resilience that arose in the aftermath. Each year, we pause to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who emerged. Let us carry forward their legacy and ensure that September 11, 2001, is remembered for generations to come.

Soldiers’ Angels was founded in the aftermath of 9/11, as our troops rapidly deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. While our heroes faced conflict abroad, a different kind of hero emerged on the home front—Americans determined to ensure that our deployed Service Members would never be forgotten. These volunteers provided support, care, and reminders of home, standing united to honor and uplift those fighting for our freedom. Their efforts were the foundation of Soldiers’ Angels, a lasting legacy born from the desire to serve those who serve us.

Twenty-three years later, Soldiers’ Angels continues to stand as a beacon of hope and support for Service Members, Veterans, and Military families. With unwavering dedication, the organization remains ready to serve those who have served our country, ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
