Gratitude from an Undisclosed Location: Supporting Deployed Service Members

We don’t always know what’s going on within the Deployed units we serve. However, we do know that the care packages sent will undoubtedly lift the morale of those who receive them. Recently, we received a heartwarming but bittersweet message of thanks from a unit that has faced the incredible loss of three Service Members in their unit after an attack.

Following the attack, one of the Service Members on the base sent us a special request to help lift morale at the base. Of course, we responded immediately, sending dozens of care packages to the locations supplied. Some of the locations were so remote that the care packages arrived via helicopter. The email we received back was so amazing.

Subject: Gratitude from an Undisclosed Location

Message: “You weren’t lying. We’re inundated with boxes of love and heartwarmers… weekly.”

This is a great example of why we do what we do. Sending support in this way won’t solve their problems, but it will bring some joy in times of hardship and, more importantly, act as a reminder of the tremendous amount of gratitude we have for their service and sacrifice. Here are some more of the photos sent from the VERY grateful Service Members.

Our thoughts are with the families of the fallen heroes and with the Service Members who served alongside them.

The number of Service Members being deployed is rising as conflict continues in areas around the world. If you would like to join Soldiers’ Angels as an Angel Volunteer to support Deployed Service Members with care packages, baked goods, and/or letters, we could use your support!
