Soldiers’ Angels: Looking Back at 2014
We just compiled the numbers for Soldiers’ Angels efforts in 2014 and WOW what a year! We are so thankful and fortunate for the many angels who signed on and helped deployed soldiers and veterans at VA Hospitals in our service areas.

We just compiled the numbers for Soldiers’ Angels efforts in 2014 and WOW what a year! We are so thankful and fortunate for the many angels who signed on and helped deployed soldiers and veterans at VA Hospitals in our service areas.
Special thanks to our newest VA Representatives who have helped us expand to new VA Hospitals across the country:

This year, our team angels provided support in the following ways:
- Sent 106,081 letters to deployed service members, military families, and veterans.
- Sent a total of 6,911 care packages to deployed service members.
- Supported 683 caregivers of injured or ill service members.
- Supported over 100,000 service members, veterans, and their families.
Thanks to our VA Representatives, volunteers, and Community Partners, we have provided support to patients at VA Hospitals across the country in the following ways.
- Served 3,384 veterans and service members at VA Luncheons.
- Provided 1,096 sack lunches through Community Partner donations.
- Distributed 1,352 Hygiene Kits.
- Distributed 5,456 blankets/pillowcases.
- Distributed 7,515 other items (games, handmade items, etc.).
- Distributed 3,213 items at Stand Downs across the country.
Since the start of Soldiers’ Angels we have served over 650,000 and will continue to serve into 2015 and beyond. In addition to all of this, Soldiers’ Angels was also honored with a prestigious 2014 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations. The award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Soldiers’ Angels received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients.
This year, we are looking to expand our VA Hospital Support to more locations across the U.S.
