Top 5 Ways to get Involved in 2025

As we enter 2025, supporting our nation’s heroes remains as vital as ever. Soldiers’ Angels offers countless opportunities to make a difference. Here are our top five ways you can get involved and join our mission this year.

1. Adopt-A-Soldier

Make a difference in a deployed Service Members life by adopting them through their deployment. Support includes sending care packages and letters.

We ask that those who adopt a Service Member:

  • Write two letters per month.
  • Send one care package per month.

To join start by registering as a volunteer. Once verified, you’ll gain access to the Angel database, where you can find available adoption opportunities.

2. Support Military and Veteran Food Distrubutions

Soldiers’ Angels organizes monthly Military and Veteran Food Distribution in six cities across the country for low-income active-duty Service Members, Guardsmen, Reservists, and Veterans. By participating, you will help provide much-needed food assistance to thousands of military-connected individuals and their families.

Volunteer tasks include:

  • Unloading grocery items from delivery trucks.
  • Sorting and packing items into bags or boxes.
  • Loading groceries into cars during drive-through pickups.

These outdoor events take place in all weather and involve standing, lifting, and bending. Learn more about Military and Veteran Food Distributions here.

3. Write/Make Cards

A card filled with meaningful words can do wonders for our Service Members and Veterans who may need some words of encouragement. This activity is perfect for all ages, including children.

How to get involved:

  • Register as a virtual volunteer to write cards and letters for specific occasions.
  • OR Join Mission: Cards of Support to write cards throughout the year without being a registered volunteer.

4. Join Special Campaigns

Wanting to help meet a goal? Participate in campaigns that address specific needs, such as collecting socks, holiday items, and other essentials. Anyone can participate in special campaigns and you do not need to be a registered volunteer.  

Our special campaigns include:

  • Treat for Troops
  • Holiday Stockings for Heros
  • #MLKDay of Service
  • Valentines for Veterans
  • Warm Feet for Warriors
  • Honor Military Working Dogs
  • Go Camo
  • Operation: Warm Winter

These campaigns make a big impact on Service Members and Veterans and are a great way to get the community involved in supporting the military community.  

5. Monetary Donations

Soldiers’ Angels offers many ways to make a difference in the lives of our military Service Members, Veterans, and their families however not everyone has time to volunteer. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Soldiers’ Angels relies on the support from donors to continue carrying out our vision of ensuring No Soldier Goes Unloved.  Every little bit helps!
