WE NEED YOUR HELP!
After Afghanistan fell to the Taliban this past weekend, a chain reaction of events began unfolding. And now, only four days later, your support is essential for thousands of Americans and Afghans. We’ve received urgent requests from U.S. military installations and deployed Chaplains for donations to support incoming Afghan refugees and deploying troops. Please read our latest blog to see how you can offer needed support.
Understanding the Process for Afghan Evacuees Entering America
Soldiers’ Angels has received overwhelming support from our staff, board, donors, volunteers, and supporters for the part we are playing in the Afghan resettlement. However, there have also been many negative comments, questions, and concerns voiced on our social channels. With help from points provided by The Evacuate Our Allies Coalition, of which Soldiers’ Angels is a member, we hope to address those items and provide more insight into the steps and processes behind this historic resettlement.
With a very heavy heart, we share the news of the passing of a key staff member from our Soldiers’ Angels family, Dr. Jennifer Cernoch. Jennifer served as the Vice President of Development for Soldiers’ Angels for the past eight years.
For those that knew Jennifer, you understand the huge hole that has been left in our hearts. Jennifer was one of the kindest, most caring people in the world. Her big heart led her through a lifetime of serving others— first with her work as a Psychologist and later in the non-profit community. The number of people she has supported is innumerable.

Unique volunteer opportunities, such as sewing and baking, as well as in-person events like food distributions, mean that we have volunteer opportunities to match every personality, availability, and ability.
