Where to Turn: Navigating Resources for Veterans & Service Members
January 29, 2026
No Service Member should ever face the journey from Military service to civilian life alone — especially when it comes to finding the right help, benefits, and support. At Soldiers’ Angels, we work every day to provide comfort, connection, and assistance to the Military-connected community. But we also know that navigating the vast network of resources available — from health care and employment to community support and benefits — can feel overwhelming.
That’s where trusted navigation partners come in. These organizations specialize in connecting Veterans, Service Members, and their families with the tools and guidance they need to confidently access support, understand their options, and get connected to the right services. Below, we highlight two powerful resource navigation partners that help make this process easier and more effective.

America’s Warrior Partnership
America’s Warrior Partnership is a national nonprofit dedicated to connecting Veterans and Service Members with the resources they need while helping communities strengthen their local support systems. Their mission is grounded in the belief that strong, informed communities can dramatically improve quality of life and well-being for Military families.
America’s Warrior Partnership connects local organizations to national resources through its collaborative network, helping ensure Veterans and their families can access trusted support even when local options are limited. Their work emphasizes proactive engagement, including suicide prevention and community integration, with the goal of reaching Veterans before challenges escalate. Through local Warrior Partnerships across the country, they educate communities, coordinate services, and ensure Veterans are not left to navigate complex systems on their own.
Whether someone is seeking help understanding VA benefits, connecting with Veteran-specific care providers, or finding community programs tailored to their needs, America’s Warrior Partnership is a strong place to begin.
Combined Arms
Combined Arms is a Veteran-focused nonprofit designed to streamline access to support and services. Instead of searching across dozens of websites or navigating multiple systems, Combined Arms brings hundreds of vetted resources together in one centralized, searchable platform.
The Combined Arms platform simplifies resource discovery by connecting Veterans and their families to programs related to employment, health care, housing, education, benefits, and more. Their network includes nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and service providers that have been vetted to ensure quality and relevance. By using data and technology to understand community needs, Combined Arms also helps service organizations deliver support more effectively and efficiently.
For those who have ever felt lost trying to figure out where to start or who to contact, Combined Arms provides a clearer path forward.
Additional Resource Navigation Tools
In addition to Soldiers’ Angels and these partner organizations, there are other tools designed to help Veterans and Service Members navigate available support. The VA Resource Navigator helps individuals understand and access their VA benefits. The National Resource Directory connects Service Members, Veterans, families, and caregivers with vetted national resources that support recovery and reintegration. Veterans Service Organizations such as Disabled American Veterans, The American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars also provide claims assistance, advocacy, and direct support nationwide.
The transition from Military service to civilian life can be complex. Finding benefits, accessing care, and building community support often requires guidance and persistence. Organizations like America’s Warrior Partnership and Combined Arms exist to make that journey less confusing and more empowering by helping Veterans and Service Members connect to the right resources at the right time.
Where to Turn In Times of Crisis
Financial challenges are an unfortunate reality for many Service Members, Veterans, and Military families during and after service, and timely access to trusted resources can be essential. That’s why we’ve created this vetted list of Military-focused charities that offer financial support. Check that out here.
At Soldiers’ Angels, we are proud to stand alongside these partners in service to our Military community. If you or someone you love is seeking support, reaching out and exploring these navigation tools can be an important first step toward finding help and building stability.
