Treats for Troops Registration
Before you register to become a Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops collection site, we have some important information for you to review.
- You are responsible for the cost of transporting or shipping to get the candy to your designated Soldiers’ Angels candy recipient.
- You must ship your candy or coordinate with the recipient to deliver to the address you choose from the Soldiers’ Angels database. Please ensure that your box is marked “Soldiers’ Angels Treats for Troops” to ensure the recipient knows where the candy is coming from, and ensure your name is easily visible.
- If you begin to collect more candy than you can afford to ship, it is your responsibility to stop your collection early. You must let us know if you stop your collection early so that we can adjust your end date and remove your collection site from the searchable Candy Map, if you chose to be listed there. While we do allow delivery, we cannot guarantee there will be a location near you to deliver to or they can accept delivery so please do not sign up unless you are prepared to ship your candy and cover the shipping costs.
- You are responsible for providing your own buyback prizes.
- Common buyback prizes include toothbrushes and toothpaste, healthy snacks, coloring books and crayons, stickers, or cash. You are welcome to get creative and come up with other great prizes for the participating children.
- Buyback prizes are not mandatory for collection sites— but it is a fun way to encourage kiddos in your community to participate.
- Once you register as an Angel/Volunteer (Step 1), you will have the option to register your collection site to appear on our publicly searchable Candy Map. Please do not complete this step if you would like your site to be a private collection, i.e. just employees/clients, or if you are intending to collect candy at a private residence.
- FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO HOME ADDRESSES WILL BE APPROVED TO APPEAR ON THE PUBLIC CANDY MAP.
- Please Note: Candy collected in the name of Soldiers’ Angels must be donated to Soldiers’ Angels, not to any other group or organization.
