Soldiers’ Angels Named a 2026 San Antonio Top Workplace — and a National Leader in Culture Excellence

There are awards that organizations apply for. And then there are awards that find you because of the people you’ve built your culture around.

This month, Soldiers’ Angels was named a 2026 San Antonio Top Workplace by the San Antonio Express-News and Energage — one of the nation’s most respected employer recognition programs.

Powered by 18 years of data and confidential employee feedback, the designation signals that something real is happening inside Soldiers’ Angels.

Simultaneously, we earned seven National Culture Excellence & Industry Awards spanning Employee Appreciation, Work-Life Flexibility, Employee Well-Being, Compensation & Benefits, Leadership, Purpose & Values, and the Nonprofit Award.

Our Employees Spoke

None of this was handed to us. Our employees spoke — and what they said was this: Soldiers’ Angels is a place where purpose is real, leadership is trustworthy, and people are genuinely valued.

For us, that matters beyond the recognition itself.

We ask our team to do extraordinary work — to move nearly 1.5 million pounds of food to Veterans facing food insecurity, to mail letters to deployed troops who need to know they haven’t been forgotten, to show up at VA hospitals with coffee carts and human kindness on their most ordinary Mondays. The least we owe them is a workplace worthy of that commitment.

Employee Commitment Sets the Stage for Stronger Impact

In 2025 alone, we supported 2,024,381 Service Members, Veterans, and families. We delivered more than $363 million in cumulative aid since our founding in 2003 — at a program efficiency rate of $0.97 of every dollar donated.

None of that scale is possible without a team that believes in what they’re doing and feels genuinely supported in how they do it.

This recognition belongs to every person who has ever worn a Soldiers’ Angels badge — staff and volunteer alike. It belongs to the donor who trusted us with their contribution and the corporate sponsor who believed in our mission. It belongs to the Veteran who accepted a meal and reminded us why this work matters.

We are proud of this award. And we are committed to earning it again, every day, in the way we treat our people and the Veterans we serve.
