Many of our service members are located in countries that do not allow pork products or pork by-products for religious reasons. Members of the military must follow the laws of the receiving country while on deployment. For Soldiers’ Angels, we don’t have the logistics to be able to sort donated items by destination country, so it’s easiest for our warehouse team to not accept any pork or pork by-products. Slim Jims are the only exception.
