Sponsor a Soldiers’ Angels Military and Veteran Food Distribution
October 19, 2024
As the demand for food assistance among military families and Veterans continues to rise, Soldiers’ Angels remains committed to providing crucial aid through our Military and Veteran Food Distribution events. These events not only supply families with essential groceries, often as much as 75 pounds, but also create a sense of camaraderie and support among those who have bravely served our country. By sponsoring a food distribution, you will directly contribute to reducing food insecurity and help build a stronger community for Veterans and active-duty Service Members in need.
What Is a Military and Veteran Food Distribution?
Soldiers’ Angels hosts monthly drive-through food distribution events in six cities across the country. Each location serves 150-250 low-income, at-risk, or homeless Veteran families, supplying them with up to 75 pounds of groceries at no cost.
In 2023, due to inflation and the increase of food insecurity among lower-level active duty families, Soldiers’ Angels expanded the event to also support active duty Service Members, Guard, and Reserve Members who may be struggling to put food on the table. These events are essential for alleviating food insecurity and ensuring that Military-connected families receive the support they deserve.
The first Soldiers’ Angels food distribution event was hosted in San Antonio in 2015 and the program has since expanded to support Atlanta, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; Dallas, Texas; Denver, Colorado; and Orlando, Florida.
It is the goal of Soldiers’ Angels to continue expanding these food distributions to other cities that may have a high population of Military and Veteran families and also experience higher rates of food insecurity due to food deserts and lack of public transportation.

Successful Past Events
Past food distribution events have seen incredible community involvement, with local volunteers, Veterans, active duty Service Members, civilians, and sponsors coming together to make a tangible impact on food insecurity. These events not only provide much-needed support for Veterans and their families, but they also highlight the power of collaboration between businesses, non-profits, and individuals.
Sponsors have reported overwhelmingly positive feedback from both employees and customers, who appreciate the chance to give back in a meaningful way. Employees find fulfillment in contributing to a cause that directly benefits those who have served our country, while customers feel a deeper connection to brands that prioritize supporting Veterans.
