Soldiers’ Angels Announces Brent Cooper as New Vice President of Programs

Cooper, a Special Forces Veteran, is joining Soldiers’ Angels after serving as the Executive Director of the Green Beret Foundation

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — The national nonprofit Soldiers’ Angels today announced Brent Cooper as the new Vice President of Programs. As the Vice President, Cooper will lead the overall strategic and operational responsibility for all program areas in the organization.

Before joining Soldiers’ Angels, Cooper served as the Executive Director of the Green Beret Foundation, where he developed the strategy and drove execution across all functional areas. Joining the Foundation on the brink of dissolution, Cooper overhauled its operations, resulting in the Foundation’s 4-star rating on Charity Navigator and leading it to a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accreditation. Today, they are still the only special operations nonprofit foundation supporting Green Berets with such distinction within the VA.

Soldiers’ Angels President & CEO Amy Palmer said, “We are thrilled to welcome Brent to the organization. He has a deep compassion and understanding of the military-connected community and the San Antonio area. His resume speaks for itself, and we can’t wait for him to help Soldiers’ Angels better serve Veterans, Service Members, and their families.”

Cooper has spent over 15 years in high-level leadership positions in both the private and commercial sectors. He received an MBA at Washington’s Foster School of Business and is a Certified Project Director. He also served in the Army as a Special Forces Communications Sergeant with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He and his family have been residents of San Antonio, Texas, for four years.
