Navy Federal employees make blankets for veterans

WINCHESTER — More than 100 local Navy Federal Credit Union employees took time out of their schedules Monday afternoon to make dozens of blankets for military veterans in need.
According to information provided by Navy Federal Communications Strategist Haley Revette, about 1.5 million veterans in the United States live below the federal poverty level, which increases their risk of homelessness.
