Local non-profit making cloth masks for military servicemembers, veterans

News 4 San Antonio by Zack Hedrick – Thursday, April 9th 2020: Military service members are adapting to a new addition to their uniform, cloth masks. The Pentagon ruled all service members and their family members must wear a mask while they’re on property. But the Department of Defense said they wouldn’t be providing any masks.

Megan Hoferman was on a mission Thursday afternoon. Her husband is in the Air Force and works in security forces out at JBSA Lackland.

“They’re mission-essential so they still have to go in and do their job and take care of the bases and protect the country,” said Hoferman.

Volunteers at Soldiers’ Angels are helping Hoferman and thousands of other military families stay as safe as possible.
