Charlotte Hornets partner with Salisbury organization to launch food pantry

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte Hornets are teaming up with a local organization to launch a food pantry for service members and veterans in need.

The initiative kicked off at the Rowan Community Center in Salisbury on Tuesday morning.

During the event, pre-registered veterans and service members got to “shop” for groceries. Leaders of the nonprofit Soldiers’ Angels say their goal is to open the pantry twice a week for those in need.
