Soldiers’ Angels Named a 2026 San Antonio Top Workplace by San Antonio Express News

The veteran-service organization simultaneously earned seven National Culture Excellence & Industry Awards

SAN ANTONIO | October 11, 2026 | Soldiers’ Angels, the San Antonio-based nonprofit dedicated to providing aid, comfort, and resources to the military, Veterans, and their families, was named a 2026 San Antonio Top Workplace by the San Antonio Express-News and Energage.

Simultaneously, the organization earned seven National Culture Excellence & Industry Awards: Employee Appreciation, Work-Life Flexibility, Employee Well-Being, Compensation & Benefits, Leadership, Purpose & Values, and the Nonprofit Award.

The Top Workplaces program is based entirely on confidential employee survey feedback and is among the most credible and meaningful employer distinctions available, while National Culture Excellence Awards are given to organizations that score in the highest tier among specific culture dimensions.

“This recognition is a reflection of the extraordinary people who show up every single day to serve our nation’s heroes,” said Air Force Veteran Amy Palmer, President and CEO of Soldiers’ Angels. “Our team could work anywhere. They choose to be here because they believe in our mission. To be recognized by our own employees in seven culture categories is one of the most meaningful honors this organization has received in more than two decades of service.”

“Awards like these affirm that investing in our employees directly strengthens our ability to serve the military community,” said Calvin Boutte, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired), Director of Human Resources and Administration at Soldiers’ Angels. “When our team feels valued, supported, and connected to our purpose, they are empowered to bring their best to the mission every day—and that translates into greater impact for Service Members, Veterans, and military families.”

Soldiers’ Angels has delivered more than $363 million in total aid since its founding in 2003, and supported more than two million Service Members, Veterans, and families in 2025 alone.

The organization will celebrate the recognitions with internal staff events, digital and social media campaigns, and a continued effort to support and value its staff. Visit soldiersangels.org to learn more about the organization, its programs, and more.
