How to Register for Food Assistance

At Soldiers’ Angels, we believe no one who served our country should struggle to put food on the table. That is why we provide food assistance through programs such as our food pantries and MVFD events.

Access to nutritious food can make a meaningful difference for military families and Veterans. If you are seeking food assistance through Soldiers’ Angels, you will need to register for a food assistance profile. Below is a guide on how the process works and what to expect.

Complete the Registration Application

To get started, please review the Food Assistance page to learn more about the program and our event locations. Once you are ready, select the Apply button.

The application will ask you to provide information about your connection to the military. You will need to provide documentation that verifies this connection. Accepted forms of documentation include:

  • Active Duty Military ID
  • Guard/Reserve Military ID
  • Retired Military ID
  • VA ID
  • DD214

Note: You will also need to bring this documentation with you to the food assistance event.

The application will also ask for pay and income information. Additionally, you may be asked questions about your needs and circumstances. These questions help Soldiers’ Angels better understand how we can support you and connect you with helpful resources and referrals.

Once you have completed the application, submit it for review.

Keep an Eye on Your Email

After you submit your registration, keep an eye on your email.

If additional documentation or information is needed, Soldiers’ Angels will send you a personalized email explaining what is missing and providing guidance on next steps. You will receive a total of three emails regarding missing information. If there is no response after all three emails, you will need to restart the registration process to continue.

If you are approved, you will receive an email letting you know that your registration has been approved and instructions for creating your Soldiers’ Angels dashboard profile. This dashboard is an important part of receiving assistance through Soldiers’ Angels, so be sure to complete this step.

Tip: Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see an email from Soldiers’ Angels.

Use Your Dashboard to Stay Connected

Your Soldiers’ Angels dashboard is where you will manage your information and sign up for available opportunities.

Once your profile is created, you can use your dashboard to:

  • Update your profile information
  • Sign up for food assistance events
  • Apply for other opportunities you are eligible for

Remember: Your dashboard is an important part of your Soldiers’ Angels experience. Be sure to check it regularly and keep your information up to date.

You will also need to recertify for assistance once each year during your birth month. For example, if your birthday is in October, you will need to complete your recertification each October.

Keeping your dashboard up to date and completing your annual recertification helps you stay connected to available assistance and opportunities.
