No one who served our country should struggle to put food on the table. Soldiers’ Angels connects low-income Military and Veteran families with nutritious food assistance programs in cities across the country.

Food Assistance Programs
Food Distributions
Soldiers’ Angels hosts monthly drive-through events, providing fresh produce, meats, and pantry items to Service Members and Veterans.
Locations: Atlanta, Charleston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, and Washington, D.C.
Participants typically receive ~75 lbs. of food—enough for up to two weeks of meals for a family of four. Depending on the location, each event supports 150-300 families per month.
Food Pantries
Soldiers’ Angels hosts food pantry events to provide fresh produce, frozen goods, and pantry staples to Military and Veteran families facing food insecurity. Events occur once or twice per month and offer easy access to healthy groceries.

These events offer ongoing support to individuals and families in need, while fostering community and connection in each location.
Box Lunches & Gift Cards
Soldiers’ Angels partners with VA case managers and social workers to provide food support directly to Veterans in need. Through our Box Lunch and VA Cafeteria Gift Card programs, low-income, homeless, and at-risk Veterans receive nourishing meals and compassionate care.
Box Lunches provide non-perishable meals at VAs and Stand Down events nationwide, while VA Cafeteria Gift Cards help Veterans access a hot meal during appointments or after fasting for treatments.

What to Expect Attending a Food Event
Soldiers’ Angels Food Distribution events are an easy, no-hassle way for Service members and Veterans in need to receive food support. After registering, you’ll arrive during your scheduled time and drive through a line where volunteers load groceries into your car. If you don’t have a car, bring backpacks, push cards, or wagons and volunteers will help load them with groceries.
Food Pantry events offer a personal shopper experience that provides nutritious food—and a chance for genuine connection. After registering, you’ll arrive during your scheduled time, and a Soldiers’ Angels volunteer will guide you through the pantry as you select the items that work best for you and your family. Volunteers will help bag your groceries and, if needed, assist with loading them into your vehicle as well.
These events are a hand up, not a handout. Volunteers—many of who are active duty or Veterans themselves—are here to support you, lift you up, and thank you for your service. They understand the challenges you may face and are proud to serve their fellow brothers and sisters in arms.
What to Expect as a Volunteer
Food Distributions
Volunteers help unload delivery trucks, sort and pack groceries, and load them into cars for Service Members and Veterans during their scheduled time slots. This is a hands-on opportunity that involves standing, lifting, and bending, so dress appropriately for the weather—these events are held outdoors rain or shine.
Food Pantries
Volunteers help stock pantry shelves and guide Service Members and Veterans as they “shop,” choosing the foods that best suit their family’s needs. This role involves standing, lifting, and bending, so wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
