Nonprofit battling veteran food insecurity with drive-thru food distribution

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A national nonprofit organization is on the front lines in the battle against veteran food insecurity with a monthly drive-thru food distribution event.
Soldiers’ Angels is handing out 75 pounds of food to nearly 200 low-income veterans, Guardsmen, Reservists and service members and their families Tuesday morning. The large bags of food include fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and non-perishable items.
