More Socks Than You Can Shake a Stick At!

Highlight image

As you probably know, Soldiers' Angels held their first ever "Warm Feet For Warriors" campaign that ran from February 15 - April 30, 2017. Because this was the first year of our campaign, we set our initial goal fairly low-- hoping for just 1,000 pairs of socks. Imagine our surprise when we reached 1,271 pairs after just one month of the campaign! So we upped our goal to 2,500 pairs... and after one more month, we surpassed that goal! The campaign officially ended on April 30th, but the socks continued to roll in throughout May. We are very excited to announce that, although there are still some socks trickling in, as of last week we had collected 11,373 pairs of socks!! Thank you all for your generous support of this initial campaign!! These socks are already keeping the toes of our veterans and service members toasty and you can bet that next year we hope to make the campaign goal even higher!

Spreading Love This Valentine’s Day

January 12, 2018

Receiving something as small as a card can have a huge impact on the morale of a deployed service member or the morale of a veteran patient at a VA Hospital. This Valentine's Day, be sure to help us spread the love to our brave heroes and sheroes by sending Valentine's Day cards and $1 per card to the Soldiers' Angels Valentines for Veterans campaign. With your help, we will ship these cards to deployed and hand out in person at VA Hospitals across the country. Need some inspiration to get your cards started? Check out our Valentines for Veterans blog with tips, inspiration, and photos of past valentines.

Food Distributions Continue in 2018

Soldiers' Angels Veteran Mobile Food Distributions have become a staple for thousands of low-income, at-risk, and homeless veteran families in cities across the country. The event provides approximately 50 pounds of supplemental food assistance to the registered families in the form of fresh produce, non-perishable food items, and meat. Currently, the distribution occurs monthly in five cities: Atlanta, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; Denver, Colorado; Detroit, Michigan; and San Antonio, Texas. Soldiers' Angels is in the process of opening additional cities in 2018. Click here to watch our video about the Soldiers' Angels Mobile Food Distributions to learn more.

Angel Resolutions

We think our Angels are already some of the most amazing, kind, and selfless individuals on the planet-- but even Angels have resolutions to be better at what they do best! We asked our Angels what their Soldiers’ Angels resolutions were this year. Here is what they resolve to do in 2018...

Valentines for Veterans

Every year we receive thousands of Valentine’s Day cards addressed to service members and veterans. Sadly, since the cost to distribute these cards is so high, we are not able to provide enough funding to get these cards to our military and veteran heroes so they can feel the love. But this year you can help us spread the love! All you need to do is include $1 per Valentine you send! This will help us cover the cost of packing & mailing boxes of Valentine’s Day cards to deployed troops overseas & to VA Hospitals! Mail your cards & $1 per card to: Soldiers’ Angels 2700 NE Loop 410, Suite 310, San Antonio, Texas 78217. Learn more about Soldiers' Angels Valentines for Veterans.

Holiday Support in a BIG Way!

Every year during the holiday season, we are blown away by the incredible support we see from our Angel volunteers, supporters, donors, and community partners. This year, we want to shine some light on one Angel volunteer who has gone above and beyond for our service members, wounded heroes, veterans and military families. Our latest blog features Angel Barbara and her amazing team of elves, I mean co-workers, at the Military Service Network at Barclaycard. Not only did her team adopt 8 large families (49 kids and 16 adults!!)-- but they also donated stuffed stockings, contributed a monetary donation, and more!
