Help a Returning Veteran Get Proper Healthcare!

Thousands of troops are returning home and require regular trips to their local VA Hospital for evaluation, treatment or rehabilitation, and regular healthcare. However, these vital trips can be a financial burden for some veterans. Now SVM and the Soldiers’ Angels VA Team are stepping up to help with the Tank Support program.
Grateful Americans can help give a veteran some “tank support” by purchasing gasoline gift cards from SVM. All gift cards received will be used to help ensure returning OEF/OIF veterans get the regular checkups and medical care they need, and SVM donates $1 to the Tank Support effort for each purchase made through their website (up to $10,000).
“It’s so important that our returning heroes get regular evaluations and basic healthcare after having been in combat,” says Soldiers’ Angels founder Patti Patton-Bader. “The Tank Support program is an important way to help veterans to stay on top of their ongoing healthcare needs.”
You can help returning veterans by purchasing $10.00 gasoline gift cards for them at svmcards.net/TankSupport. You will receive an email receipt of your donation and be named in a note accompanying the gift card. It will be shipped for free to Soldiers' Angels, which distributes them to veterans hospitals around the country.
Please help Soldiers' Angels ensure our veterans get the healthcare they need. Give them some Tank Support!

I want to thank your organization so much for your donation of the 10 gas cards.
I am the Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom Program Manager for the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, which is comprised of 2 large VA Medical Centers-Nashville, TN Campus, and the Alvin C. York (Murfreesboro, TN) campus and a host of VA Community Based Outpatient clinics.
The purpose of the TVHS OEF/OIF program is to provide care specifically to our newest veterans who have served in a theater of combat in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System OEF/OIF program is growing exponentially as Ft. Campbell 101st Airborne, Army Base is within our catchment area. Needless to say, the OEF/OIF and Polytrauma Staff are working feverishly to take care of our new veterans and certainly appreciate your assistance in accomplishing the VA's goal-to take care of our veterans.
In an effort to provide this top notch care to our new veterans each OEF/OIF program within the VA system is mandated to coordinate a Focus Group to discuss with our new veterans their needs, and find out ways that the VA can improve. While many of these OEF/OIF veterans are willing to attend this much needed event, VA is limited regarding providing gas cards for these veterans to attend this event, and in addition lack of gas is a concern in even attending necessary appointments.
I am certainly welcoming your additional assistance for our planned quarterly Focus Group, where gas cards are a great benefit to these service members to attend. Also to assist service members as needed to attend their appointments.
Sincerely,
Tonia L. Hardyway
