To all of you from Soldiers' Angels, thank you all for the baked goods and everything else you have sent to me and my platoon...All the support and love didn't go without a lot of appreciation. It's incredible what you do. There are a lot of soldiers over there that don't get mail or anything else and with your help I was able to help a lot of soldiers with the things that the Angels have sent. So again, from all of us from 10th mountain 3rd brigade 710 BSB--and especially the "Death Dealers"--we all thank you. - SPC Silva, April 2010

I want to express my gratitude for sending me my laptop. I am really grateful, more than you will ever know. It has helped me in so many ways. I have no family for moral support, so it is a baby sitter as well as a valuable learning tool. - Gerald, March 2010

I would like to take a minute or two to thank your organization...for adopting me. The care packages are awesome, and really do a lot for morale. Afghanistan is a depressing place where I often wonder if we're making any kind of difference. At least I know people back home appreciate what we're doing. So thanks again. - Stephen, March 2010

Ii just wanted to thank each and every one of you for helping me and my brothers and sisters of the 129th Transportation Company on our deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was lost on the many months that we were there and some of us had no one to talk to or write while we were there. On Christmas of 2008, my unit and I received care boxes from you all and we are eternally grateful to you all, for that it was the best Christmas ever to hear from home. Even though it wasn't from a loved one of our own, it let us know that there was still those who stick by our side no matter what. And to get the snacks that for once I could read the label on was awesome. It was all worthwhile just for a Pepsi that I was able to read the label on. I kept one of them and I have it on my desk right now--just as a reminder that there is still those that love us, having never seen our faces. Thank you so much. You all are truly my Angels. - Caleb, March 2010

Thank you so much for your generous and frequent donations to the US Army troops here. I received your...mug from the "goodies" received at the US Army office and use it every day for my regular and herb tea. Many others have benefited from your generosity, although they may not have taken or had the time to write a thank-you note. In any case, your kind and admirable gifts are much appreciated. - Terry, US ally in Afghanistan, March 2010

I just talked to my son in Afghanistan. He wanted me to pass on a big "Semper-Fi, Thanks" from all of the 3/6 Marines. They love the Girl Scout Cookies you sent. You all are awesome. - Roberta, March 2010

I had [an Angel] who sent me letters and told me of her family. She thanked me for my service and just kept me up to date on how her days were. That sense of humanity, of home, was shared throughout my squad. When things were at their darkest, her reminder of home gave us a flashlight, it gave us the light we needed to keep going. I just wanted to make sure that everyone at Soldier's Angels knew that what they are doing gives us Soldiers the light we need to keep going...Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do. - Anonymous Soldier, March 2010

I am with HHC 1/36 IN at FOB Marez Iraq in the city of Mosul...we have lost three soldiers in the past month and I must tell you, your packages lifted our hearts. In 2006, I was injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq. While waiting for a medevac flight to Walter Reed, one of the first things I was given was a handmade blanket decorated with red, white and blue with yellow ribbons. It was a godsend while waiting in that chilly room. Not long after returning home I received a heartfelt card from Soldiers' Angels. I'm embarrassed that I don't remember the sender, but the memory of your support will live forever. It was providence I didn't die that day. I was truly being watched over by Angels. - SFC (ret) Miller, March 2010

I wanted to thank everyone who sent letters and care packages to my husband and his unit...It made me as a spouse feel a little better knowing that the single soldiers and soldiers who were not getting any mail where getting things from someone who wanted to let them know that they care about them and that they support them...Thank you so much. You all are angels. - Sabrina

There we were....long crazy day, was getting a bit crazier and I walked back into the office. Sitting on my desk were two large boxes from Soldier's Angels filled with coffee, two awesome Soldiers' Angels coffee mugs, and a host of well-wishes and support from home!! I can't even begin to tell you how far that went to making the day so much better. Well maybe you can see from the smiles around the room. - Major C in Afghanistan, February 2010

We cannot even begin to express in words our gratitude towards the Angels for helping our family through this trying time in our life…You all have been instrumental in changing our lives for the better and giving us a second chance in life at peace and happiness after the storm. I feel as though my husband finally feels the total worth of all his sacrifice for all those years. He feels appreciated, loved, and cared for. – wife of a wounded warrior, February 2010

I received a 2010 Soldiers' Angels calendar in the mail today and I wanted to write and say 'thank you' to such a wonderful bunch of people. I will hang this calendar with pride in my office. It will remind me daily of what I am working so hard to preserve, protect and support during my daily missions. The gold angel pin will adorn my civilian jacket for all to see when I am not in uniform and serve as a reminder not only that there are angels protecting us overseas, but angels here at home keeping them in their thoughts and prayers. - a stateside soldier, February 2010

Thank you so much for all that you do for us. Just to let you know that every letter and boxes counts enormously...there is nothing like receiving a box or a letter from someone unknown to us and understand that we are not alone in this war. - MAJ P in Afghanistan, February 2010

I would love to thank ya’ll personally for the nice things that you do for the Wounded Warriors on Camp Pendleton... When [my husband] told me about ya’ll coming in to feed the Marines and Sailors, I was like, “I didn't even know people like ya’ll were out there to help boost the spirits of these men and women!” Thanks again for taking such great care of these men and women that need this from people who care about their spirits. - C. B., January 2010

I was deployed last year, and worked in a Medical Clinic in Iraq...Normally we would send [wounded] off on a helicopter, undressed and wrapped in sheets. But with your help, we were able to toss a Soldiers' Angels kit on them, and know that when they arrived safe and were treated for their wounds, they would be able to wear some comfortable clothes and have the ability to shower--and even make a call home with the phone cards we had in the bags. Your organization is tremendous, and every time I see your organization's icon, I take a pause for thought, and remember what that symbol meant to me and my casualties. Thank you for continuing to support us. It means so much to a soldier when they know not everyone has given up on us. - Melissa, Ft. Hood medic, January 2010

We have received a multitude of shipments from Soldier's Angels. The items have been perfect...Our patients have been able to dress appropriately for the climate. The knit caps with the Soldier's Angel emblem have been a real hit. So many of our injured soldiers and civilians need replacement clothing following the scissors in the Trauma Room. We can see their eyes light up when we are able to offer them clothing and toiletries for a shower... You have really done a wonderful service. Thank you so much. CPT Teresa Timms, deployed medical unit, January 2010

The food, hygiene products, books, banners and blankets were a great morale booster for us all…Our families would also like to send a thank you out to all of you. We have been letting them know what you have been doing for us. It has relieved some burden from their shoulders…They are all very grateful—as is the entire team—for your selfless actions. You are truly heroes to us. – MSG Holcomb, Team Renegade, January 2010

As a veteran of numerous combat deployments, one sometimes begins to wonder just how much the members of the military in harm's way are really thought of….It was such a pleasure to be presented with Christmas packages collected by Soldiers' Angels. I now have a travel mug from you (Soldiers' Angels), and I had just written home asking my wife to send one. Your efforts are appreciated far more than you can know or realize. - MAJ C.H., January 2010

My husband...is stationed in Thule AFB Greenland. He is six months into a 12-month deployment. One of your Angels sent all of the guys a case of Seattle's Best Coffee. Those boys (and girls) are in the middle of the dark season, the next time the sun comes up is March. Coffee--good coffee--is much appreciated... Thank you all so much for thinking of him. I do, every minute of every day. - Julia, January 2010

I just wanted to say thank you! I had signed my husband up last year. He never got a chance to get on his email and so I intercepted his emails and met his soldier angel, Janne…and we have now become the best of friends. Just knowing someone else is there for me while my husband was deployed was great…We met up online and now we talk everyday, and call once a week…Janne ended up getting a soldier family and she has been my rock through this entire deployment. - Rebecca, December 2009

If it wasn't for the lovely staff here at Soldiers' Angels and all the family members of the Armed Services, a lot of soldiers would probably not even get one letter from home. It is you guys that make America a more beautiful place to live. THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH. - Jacob, December 2009

Thank you for everything that you have done for myself and my fellow soldiers....It is refreshing to know that there are caring people in this world that still think of others. Simple words which cannot begin to convey my thanks [for] your organization's support over the last 12 months in Afghanistan. The items received from Soldiers' Angels were greatly appreciated and gave my team the needed boost in morale that we received over the holiday season, when many of us were missing home. ...Thank you for an amazing group. I was hurt in Iraq two years ago from a bomb and had no clothing afterwards. I am stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan, and a group of friends and I just had breakfast in our cafeteria. We had received stockings from the chaplains two nights before, and we opened them today--Christmas morning--together. It was great to get the gifts and to know you all were thinking of us. The cards, however, were especially meaningful. Mine is in pencil, in a child's handwriting, addressed "Dear U.S. Solider [sic]" and thanking us for keeping you safe. I think we all had a tear in our eyes as I read it out loud to the group. We just wanted you to know how much it improved our holiday, knowing that you all are back home thinking of us... You are heroes. - Elizabeth, December 2009

I can’t express how grateful I am with you and your organization. What you did for us was a really wonderful thing. It was so warm and comforting to receive coffee in our shop…In fact I am having some coffee as I write this thank you note. Again, thank you very much for the generous donation. I received the boxes of cards a couple of days a go and I cannot even begin to tell you how extremely delighted and excited the soldiers are to have them to send home. The selection that we have at the PX is paltry at best. Plus plus their cards don't really cover the awkward feelings or truly heartfelt emotions that (I feel) Hallmark has always been able to convey. Once again Soldiers' Angels has come through for us in a spectacular way, and we feel truly cared for and cherished. Thank you so much. - SGT Sandra Shane, November 2009

Our unit, the 211th MP Bn here at Camp Taji, Iraq, just received a wonderful care package from your organization and I wanted to take a minute to thank all involved in the effort. You guys are doing a wonderful job in bringing joy to the faces of soldiers who (aside from their friends and families) many forgot back home. Keep up the great work, and again, thanks. - SGM Jack Owens, October 2009

I received some great boxes today from members of Soldier's Angels. It made me cry, I can't believe so many people care about the Soldiers. Sometimes my own family do not send me anything. Without Soldier's Angels I do not think I would have been able to make it. - Diann, October 2009

I am on my last year in the Army and will hit 20 next year after the deployment. But, this program will help those coming behind me and the ones that currently fall under me realize that somewhere, someone does care alot for them, and that there is an Angel out there for us all watching over us, until we all come home. Again, I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my Soldiers I say God bless you all... SFC Lux, Iraq, October 2009

Thank you Soldier's Angels for all you have done for my daughter and our family over the last two years. I have been sitting here since about 1pm trying to find the words to say thank you. I am stunned and I still cannot believe that I am typing on a brand new laptop. Whatever and whenever you need help, I will be there. When I WIN my national title for disable shooting next year I will do so with the flag you gave me. When I shoot I do so not only for myself but for all the Angels' across the world. - John, July 2009

My family and I received assistance from Soldier's Angels when we were at the end of our rope. It seemed like from the time that my husband was injured in Iraq that we were fighting a losing battle staying on our feet emotionally and financially. So, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for myself and my family. - Shea, July 2009

Again, thanks for everything, from me and the soldiers here. - Donald, January 2009

We have received many boxes of wonderful things here in Afghanistan, and I wanted to thank you for your dedication and enormous efforts to take care of us. We truly do not need for anything here accept our loved ones from home, which you can't send. I feel better taken care of in theater than ever before in my life. I spent some time with M today, navigating his new Valour-IT laptop. The voice recognition software was fairly easy to use. This picture was taken by the social worker there for their newsletter. Today was the first day she had ever seen him smile! ...M did not want to put the computer away when I was leaving. He wanted to go through the tutorial again and make sure he knew how to do everything. Thank you all for helping change the life of this hero. - Angel Greta.

I would LOVE to thank everyone at Soldiers…I loved everything. It helped out a lot. I know that when mail call came around and they called my name, my day was instantly better, and I’m glad that there are people out there that are willing to write and send things. It boosted my morale and made it easier. The time flew by because I got books and snacks and a lot of other things…Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. - SrA Perez, Afghanistan (Jan, 2009)

...It is from many people like yourselves that we make it through rough times. Every snack, book, or card sent to us brightens up our day and lets many of us know that people still care. These packages and especially the cards from elementary children lift our spirits higher than the sky. Even though we are thousands of miles away from home, the warmth of the heart is felt upon arrival of these packages. I take great pride in knowing that I help defend a country in which many people like yourselves are still warmhearted and caring. I know now why I do this: for my country, for my home, and all the people in it. May the blessings of a thousand angels sing upon your lives. Thank you. - SPC James

Since being officially adopted by April, I have received many letters and warm wishes that I was brought to tears...As my time ends here in the next month or so I reflect on all the support that has been given to me from...the many people who adopt soldiers through this organization...
The true heroes are the men and women who stand behind the United States Military. The same men and women who give us the courage to fight, the same men and women who empower us with their support and prayers. On the behalf of all the men and women of the armed forces, I would like to thank you for all that you have done for us. - SGT Z (Afghanistan, Nov 2008)

Christmas came early this year and I just wanted to say thank you. If only you could have seen the looks on my troops' faces when all those boxes came in. I have never seen such a giddy group of grown men. The blankets were snatched up first (I think since that was the first box opened) and then they tore into the other boxes. We have a group sharing an office here, so it was cute to see the guys barter and trade goods. The socks and coffee mugs were very hot items. And, much to my surprise, the little toys were quickly snatched up as well. Grown men, little toys, big grins, priceless. Thanks again for your continued support, it means a lot to me and the guys. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, ours just got a whole bunch better. - CW2 Hobin (Afghanistan, Nov 2008)

My son, SPC Charles Smith, was in Germany after he was injured by an IED in Iraq. I would like to say Thank You to the Soldiers' Angels for being there for him.
I have attached a picture of him in his "Soldiers' Angels" T-shirt. I had no idea even who the Soldiers' Angels were, as when I got this pic sent to me online, I could not figure out what it said, or meant. Now I do know both.
I appreciate so much what you did for him...I have now joined the Soldiers' Angels to help others as my son was helped.
Again, thank you to the Soldiers Angels' in Germany... from the bottom of my heart. - Sincerely, Susan Davis
