Community Team Leaders

Community Team Leaders (CTLs) are the representatives of Soldiers' Angels in their communities.  They are the face of Soldiers' Angels, keeping the needs of our troops in view of their friends and neighbors.  CTLs are volunteers, but they hold a special position of leadership in the organization.

Activities & Structure

CTLs cultivate donations and lead donation drives.  For example, they coordinate with local stores to set up a table outside the store to collect things like materials for care packages.  They also recruit and coordinate with Angels, spread the word about Soldiers' Angels within their communities, and help draw their local communities and businesses into special SA events such as the Holiday care package drive or team projects such as Blankets of Hope.  In short, CTLs represent Soldiers' Angels to everyone they meet.

Regional Captains and SA State Coordinators oversee and mentor CTLs.  This structure also gives CTLs the opportunity for advancement within the organization.

Characteristics

More than anything else, a CTL must be a "people person."  CTLs build positive relationships, inspire others to join in troop support activities, and make friends with just about everyone they meet.   They must be self-starters and leaders, and have a creative approach to problem-solving.

CTLs must also be registered Soldiers' Angels.

How You Can Help

If you have the characteristics described above and are interested in becoming a Soldiers' Angels CTL for your area (or would like more information about CTLs), please email us.  Or if you know another Angel who might be interested and would make a good CTL, please let us know.
