Leadership Heads Up Continuing Adjustment to Military & Veterans' Needs
Pasadena, CA (October 30, 2012) – Leading military support nonprofit Soldiers' Angels is pleased to announce the promotion of Ann Davidson and Lance Dowd. Davidson is now Chief Operations Officer, reporting to the board and in charge of all day-to-day activities. Dowd is now Chief Program Officer, focusing on donations and corporate development.
Their new positions reflect added responsibilities Davidson and Dowd have undertaken over time and will continue to implement as the organization grows and adjusts to changing needs. "We are so pleased to be able to promote these two," says founder and CEO Patti Patton-Bader. "They have played a tremendous role in adjustments Soldiers' Angels is making to address the developing needs of active duty, wounded and veteran military personnel and their families. We look forward to their continued leadership."
As a flexible and adaptive organization, Soldiers' Angels is in continuous evaluation of the mission and need for each of its teams and projects to ensure efforts fill genuine and otherwise-unaddressed needs. Moving forward, the organization expects to focus more heavily on issues related to reintegration and veteran homelessness, long-term physical and emotional support for the severely-wounded, and basic family support.
"Soldiers' Angels will continue to fulfill its core mission of ensuring that active duty, veterans, military families and the wounded have the physical and emotional support they need," says Patton-Bader. "Keeping within our 5-year strategic plan, Soldiers' Angels continues to be at the forefront of troop support."
