Online Auction Rocks for Angels

On August 26, New Braunsfels, TX will be rocking for the angels all day long--Soldiers' Angels, that is, but people around the world can join in on a special online auction as well.  Rocking Angels, a free concert to benefit Soldiers' Angels, will be held at Billy's Ice, with amazing auction items available via Soldiers' Angels Facebook!

Headlined by Red Dirt Ramblers, Stoneface Cowboys, Whiskey Rodeo and Court Nance, the day of rocking out will include a live auction of items donated by many local businesses and t-shirts will be sold by Soldiers' Angels.  All the bands involved have donated their time, and Nissan Auto Outlet in San Marcos will present a check during the day.  Additional sponsors include Studio MSP and Gruene River Inn.

The event runs from 1:00 in the afternoon until midnight.  It's open to the public at no cost, but be sure to bring some money for the food and auctions!

In addition to sponsoring Rocking Angels, the Gruene River Inn is donating 10% of rooms booked to Soldiers Angels on a Sunday thru Thursday stay, excluding holidays. To make sure your stay is credited to Soldiers' Angels, book online and select the "Soldiers' Angels" button, or call say that you are booking for Soldiers' Angels (this special donation is ongoing).

Rocking Angels was planned by Soldiers' Angels Lisa Garner, an event coordinator and promoter when she's not flexing her Angel wings.  An Army Mom with a son currently deployed to Afghanistan, she knows how important it is to keep supporting the troops.  "I try to stay as involved as I can, she says."
