CLASSY Award for a Classy Lady?

With wedding season upon us in the U.S., you've probably received a few "Save the Dates" in recent months; here's a another one!  Save July 9 as a very important date for a "CLASSY" lady!

MaryAnn of Soldiers' Angels Germany has been nominated for a CLASSY Award and if she's a finalist, she'll need your vote on July 9.  Here's why we think she deserves it...

With extraordinary dedication and intensity, MaryAnn has devoted the past eight years of her life to caring for America’s wounded troops and their families at Landstuhl, through which over 60,000 wounded and ill service members have passed after being medically evacuated from Afghanistan and Iraq.

As a volunteer with nonprofit Soldiers’ Angels, she drives 5 hours each way to spend time at LRMC, where she sits for hours at the bedside of wounded or dying soldiers, distributes supplies, coordinates hundreds of thousands of dollars of donated items for the patients annually, and leads a staff of local volunteers.

You can read her full CLASSY Story here.

If MaryAnn is selected as a finalist, public voting will begin on July 9, 2012.  On Saturday, September 22, 2012, nearly 3,000 of the country’s most dedicated and inspiring nonprofit leaders will gather for philanthropy's most inspiring night. The 16 National CLASSY Awards Winners will be announced live on-stage at the red-carpet 4th Annual CLASSY Awards Ceremony.

Congratulations to MaryAnn for her years of troop support... and hopefully she will soon receive congratulations as a CLASSY finalist and winner!
