Wilkes-Barre Raises the Bar

For the fourth year in a row, the annual MayDay Music Festival in Wilkes-Barre, PA is donating proceeds to Soldiers' Angels.  Over the last four years, this event has raised almost $10,000 for SA, with $4,000 coming from last year alone!  This year's Festival runs May 26-27 from noon to 10 p.m.

In the past, the festival has been a one day event, beginning at noon and ending at dusk.  Due to the festival's success, the city's parks department has given approval to expand it to a two day event with longer hours.

Soldiers' Angels will be in attendance again this year with a table to encourage people to support the troops, and Soldiers' Angels brochures have been included in the packets given to prospective sponsors by the event organizers.

This year, the MayDay Festival includes a large number of national touring musical acts on various stages, as well as food vendors, raffles, a bake sale and a "MayDay PlayDay" section of the park which will feature arts & crafts, kids yoga, and more.  Entrance is free.

Thanks so much to Sector One Entertainment, LLC for this tremendous opportunity and their years of generous support.  If you are in the Wilkes-Barre area or know someone who is... pass the word!
