Operation Phone Home
Help soldiers and their loved ones stay in touch!
Thank you for your recent shipment of calling cards. Nothing boosts the morale of our soldiers like phone cards.Thank you so very much for your commitment to supporting our troops. - Chaplain (Major) Bob Phillips, March 2009
Time with loved ones is one of the most treasured things for a deployed soldier and family. With that in mind, Soldiers' Angels has partnered with AT&T to create special Soldiers Angels/AT&T Global PrePaid Calling Cards. AT&T calling cards are the most widely-accepted phone card in the Middle East, and in some areas they are the only brand that can be used. These special cards include a recorded message of thanks from Soldiers' Angels, and can be used from wherever service members are stationed around the world, on land or at sea.
Donations made for calling cards through the Soldiers' Angels store include shipping and handling direct to you or your soldier. If you don't have a particular soldier in mind, you can direct Soldiers' Angels to send it to a soldier who needs a calling card. You can donate a 150-unit Global PrePaid Card for deployed personnel, or a 60-minute PrePaid Card for use by the state-side wounded or families to call anywhere.
I generally go through about 35 phone cards each week. I have a week's supply left in my office. National Guard Bureau sent me over here with an initial supply, but after 8 weeks they are running out. When I email back to the states asking for people to send me more cards, they email me back with addresses such as yours and tell me to solicit donations on my own. I can use any number of phone cards you care to donate.
Sincerely,
DOUGLAS
