Here is why...
pe. She would always go out of her way to make me feel loved and wanted. She even help my wife deal with all the stuff I was going through out there. She really helped Jamie to keep her head up when I was listed as MIA/KIA a few times. She just kept telling J. that I was fine and that I would make it back home to her and our triplets. SHe is a wonderful person who truely cares about the troops and goes out of her way to make them feel loved, wanted and supported. YOur whole group is just awesome. I just wanted to tell you that and thank you again for all of your support for the troops serving in arms way.

The talented daughter of wounded soldier Sgt. James Russell is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her song to wounded soldiers and their families.
Jillian Russell of Worcester, Mass wrote her song "To Dad With Love" while her dad was deployed in Iraq and sent it to him for fathers day in 2003. The song became an instant hit and received national attention. Miss Russell was even invited to the Pentagon to sing the song for U.S. Military leaders and civilian dignitaries.
 Sgt. Russell was seriously wounded in Iraq and spent 6 months in Walter Reed Hospital. Sgt. Russell still struggles with his injuries as he continues to rehabilitate and because of her father’s sacrifice and service and her deep affection for our troops, Jillian would like to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her CD to Soldiers Angels to be used to assist wounded soldiers and their families.

From an email to Soldiers' Angels founder, Patti Patton-Bader:
Hey Patti,
Hope all is well. We recieved an e-mail from a lady in Texas that works in the burn unit where they recieve troops from Iraq and Afghanistan after they are transported from Germany. She told us of a 19 year old soldier that had burns over 90% of his body, they played our music for him. He passed away last saturday, and in honor of him, we gave a speach for a crowd of about 5,000 people yesterday at the Missouri State Fair grandstands during one of our shows. We sat a chair on the stage to represent him and all of our fallen soldiers while we played the song "Heroes". All the veterans stood up and there was not many dry eyes including mine. His name was Devon Gibbons, and I recieved a call from his father over the weekend that was very touching, the family is in our thoughts and prayers.
They have a new two-song disc they've got out - and are going to be donating some of the proceeds to support Soldiers' Angels...
