You can help make a difference to a wounded hero and their family, read how......

Folks,

As a Soldiers'Angel, I adopted a young woman who had been injured in Iraq and was being treated at Brooke Army Hospital in Texas. I sent some small boxes and several letters to her. She has now been released and is doing well at home. Then I decided to send a note to the medical staff of the Burn Ward at the hospital to thank them for their work. At that time, I also sent a "generic" package addressed to "Any Female Soldier" on their Burn Ward. Yesterday, I received a lovely letter from a young soldier's twin sister. The mother and sister are staying at the Fisher House as the soldier undergoes treatment. They were given the box I sent to "Any Female Soldier" and they were quite surprised and said it brightened up their day.To make a long story longer, I am attaching a URL for Fisher House(s) and their addresses. Some of you had expressed an interest in writing to some soldiers. These days they like you to have an actual name, but apparently, the hospitals in the States will allow delivery of mail to "Any Soldier" on a burn ward, ortho ward, neuro etc. The nurses will deliver the package to whomever they feel needs it at the time. At least, for me that is what seems to have happened. Thanks,

Christina!
