Softball Equipment for Marines

Highlight image

The Soldiers' Angels Chaplain Support Team was recently asked if they could provide Softball equipment to a unit of Marines. The Angels worked hard and accomplished the goal of sending gear! Below is the thank you they received:

"Over the past two weekends we were able to play over 50 games of softball. We had 8 teams who each played in a season and a triple elimination tournament. We could not have played these games without the equipment you guys sent to us. On behalf of all the players and teams I want to say THANK YOU for the time and effort each and every one of you put into getting the equipment to us. It means a lot that even though we're on the other side of the planet, we still have people and organizations thinking about us and willing to help out in any way they can." - Gunnery Sergeant Jonathan

"I'm a first grade teacher in Nutley, New Jersey and I was able to get my entire school involved in a Valentines for Veterans project. I was able to collect 420 Valentines! Some of these Valentines are being mailed to Soldiers' Angels today and some will be delivered to a local veterans hospital. Happy Valentine's Day!"

Saluting Veteran Patients

February 10, 2017

The week of February 13th is National Salute to Veteran Patient Week, a time set aside to express appreciation to Veterans, increase community awareness of the role of the VA medical center, and encourage citizens to become involved. Soldiers’ Angels is one of the few non-profit agencies approved to work within VA Hospitals and Medical Centers and our volunteers gain so much from talking to and serving veteran patients. Here are just a few of the veteran patients Soldiers' Angels volunteers have the pleasure of interacting with.

Volunteers in Georgia Stock Up

Angel volunteers came together in two separate Georgia cities on January 28th to help Soldiers' Angels stock up. Working in Dublin and Atlanta, the Angels spent the better part of their Saturday packing toiletry items into Soldiers' Angels Hygiene Kits. By the end of the day, hundreds of Kits were packed and ready to be handed out! Representatives at both the Atlanta VA and the Carl Vinson VA in Dublin will distribute these Hygiene Kits to veteran patients over the next few months. Thanks to all Angels who came out to help!

Valentine's for Veterans

Every year we receive thousands of Valentine’s Day cards addressed to service members and veterans. Sadly, since the cost to distribute these cards is so high, we are not able to provide enough funding to get these cards to our military and veteran heroes so they can feel the love.

But this year you can help us spread the love!

All you need to do is include $1 per Valentine you send! This will help us cover the cost of packing & mailing boxes of Valentine’s Day cards to deployed troops overseas & to VA Hospitals! Email for details. Mail your cards & $1 per card to: Soldiers’ Angels 2700 NE Loop 410, Suite 310, San Antonio, Texas 78217
