Giving a Little Bit Extra

Highlight image

The Home Depot's New England Regional office joined the Soldiers' Angels Holiday Community Partner Program with the goal of giving something back. The small office in Canton, Massachusetts only has 10 employees, so they signed up to donate 50 stuffed stockings. But then they decided to do what they could to give a little bit extra... soon they had collected well over 400 stockings for deployed service members and veterans! Read the full story here.

Valentine's for Veterans

January 13, 2017

Every year we receive thousands of Valentine’s Day cards addressed to service members and veterans. Sadly, since the cost to distribute these cards is so high, we are not able to provide enough funding to get these cards to our military and veteran heroes so they can feel the love.

But this year you can help us spread the love!

All you need to do is include $1 per Valentine you send! This will help us cover the cost of packing & mailing boxes of Valentine’s Day cards to deployed troops overseas & to VA Hospitals! Email for details. Mail your cards & $1 per card to: Soldiers’ Angels 2700 NE Loop 410, Suite 310, San Antonio, Texas 78217

Fourth-Graders Create Club to Support Soldiers' Angels

Most fourth grade students spend their time thinking about homework, the latest video game, or what they are going to do at recess. But a group of fourth graders in Minnesota decided it was time to do their part to support wounded service members. Late last year, they formed a "Veterans Club" and began raising money for wounded heroes. To spread the word about their mission, the children sold brownies, Christmas cookies, cupcakes, lemon bars, and muffins by the dozen and half dozen. In total the fourth graders raised over $200 and ultimately donated the money to Soldiers' Angels. Photo credit: Ellarry Prentice

Angel Debbie Never Expected This

Soldiers' Angels "Angel" volunteers are selfless. They support our service members and veterans without ever thinking of receiving anything in return. Angel Debbie, a member of the Deployed Adoptions Team, was no exception. She sent her deployed service member a lovingly packed holiday care package with the hope that she would brighten the day of someone who was spending the holidays away from their family. She never expected to receive a care package from her adopted service member! "Today my husband and I were shoveling and he looked up and said there is a package on the steps. It was covered with snow... Read More...

Who Are These Stockings For?

The children posing for this photo are not showing off their holiday stockings-- they are actually showing off their hard work! This is a Mrs. Sandlin's 7th grade class at Madras Middle School in Newnan, GA. They decided to pay it forward during the holidays by giving back to veterans at the Atlanta VA Hospital! They stuffed 110 stockings with snacks, games, socks, and other goodies that will bring smiles to the faces of the VA's patients.

Softball Equipment for Marines

The Soldiers' Angels Chaplain Support Team was recently asked if they could provide Softball equipment to a unit of Marines. The Angels worked hard and accomplished the goal of sending gear! Below is the thank you they received:

"Over the past two weekends we were able to play over 50 games of softball. We had 8 teams who each played in a season and a triple elimination tournament. We could not have played these games without the equipment you guys sent to us. On behalf of all the players and teams I want to say THANK YOU for the time and effort each and every one of you put into getting the equipment to us. It means a lot that even though we're on the other side of the planet, we still have people and organizations thinking about us and willing to help out in any way they can." - Gunnery Sergeant Jonathan
