6 Months of Christmas - Cards & Letters

Each month from June to December of 2012, Soldiers’ Angels is focusing on collecting one component of our Wrapped in Holiday Spirit care packages to help America's deployed heroes have a great Holiday Season this winter!

This month's focus of Six Months of Christmas is holiday cards and letters.

Care packages are greatly appreciated for their contents--both treats and necessities bring smiles to heroes' faces--but there's nothing quite like words of caring and appreciation from an American back home, especially during the Holiday Season.

Cards and letters for all the winter holidays are needed, with a variety of caring sentiments.  From the smallest child who leaves his mark with a tiny handprint, to the oldest adult who writes about her memories of Christmas as a child, ANYBODY can contribute to this project.  This is a great project for, churches, youth groups, community centers, even businesses--Anyone!

To participate, make your own cards, write letters with holiday greetings, or write heartfelt notes in store-bought cards.  If possible, include a variety of cards (secular, sacred, etc).  Please be sure to leave them UNsealed, then place them all in a large sealed envelope or box and ship it to:

Six Months of Christmas is a great project of the month for a youth group, classroom, community organizations or church, etc, with members bringing one item per month or per meeting.  Energetic volunteers are also invited to coordinate an event/drive to raise a particular month’s item (for help and support in planning a local Six Months of Christmas event, please email events@soldiersangels.org).
